Thanard Kurutach

I enjoyed my time at Berkeley AI Research ( BAIR ) and received my PhD from UC Berkeley, where I was co-advised by Prof. Stuart Russell and Prof. Pieter Abbeel. Previously, I received my bachelor's degrees in Math and EECS from MIT, where I was fortunate to research in CSAIL with Prof. Stefanie Jegelka and Prof. Leslie Kaelbling, and I had interned at Google Brain, EnergySage, National ICT Australia, and Harvard Microrobotics Laboratory.

I am currently a research scientist and engineer at Cruise LLC, developing ML models and algorithms for electric autonomous vehicles to improve safety on the road, free up precious human time and efforts, and reduce our carbon footprints.
